Dr. Vivian Wen joined Vernon Woods Animal Hospital in July of 2011. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially likes small animal and exotic medicine.

He is very happy that he has found his career in the field of veterinary medicine. He enjoys spending time with his family and dogs in his free time.
Dr. Monica Lewis is a small animal Veterinarians in Atlanta GA with over 25 years of experience. She graduated from The University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
3. Dr. Vivian Wen
Dr. Wen grew up with a passion for biology and animal behavior. She translated that passion into a career in small animal medicine. Her favorite part of her job is the constant learning opportunities she is presented with. Outside of work, she enjoys camping and playing board games. She lives with her cat Macaroon and rambunctious pup Marlo.
New to Atlanta, she is a big fan of the local restaurants and exhibits. She also likes helping students and interns find their way in the veterinary world.
5. Dr. Empel
Taylor was born and raised in Alabama, but now calls Atlanta home. She loves small animal general medicine and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and their rambunctious puppy.

7. Dr. Vivian Wen
She has been passionate about animals since she was a little girl and decided to turn that passion into her profession. She loves all aspects of medicine and surgery and has a special interest in small animal ophthalmology.
She is an Ohio native and graduated from the University of Ohio College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She joined the Vernon Woods Animal Hospital team in April of that same year.
She enjoys general small animal medicine and surgery and is also trained in Nutrition Response Testing. She lives with her husband and rambunctious dog.
9. Dr. Wendy Cuevas-Espelid
Dr. Empel has a special interest in dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. He is also trained in Nutritional Response Testing and uses this holistic healing technique in his practice. He lives with his wife, son, and their English cream retriever. He enjoys golfing, exploring the North Georgia Mountains, and cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
Dr. Therese McCarthy grew up training and showing horses. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in ophthalmology and ultrasonography. She has a cat named Macaroon and a rambunctious terrier.

Dr. Vivian has a special interest in small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She loves working with her clients and their pets. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures. She also likes playing board games and trying new restaurants.
A 1988 graduate of Tuskegee University, Dr. Moorehead started his practice in Atlanta, Georgia after graduation. He is very successful practicing traditional medicine and incorporating alternative healing techniques such as CRA (Contact Reflex Analysis) and Nutritional Response Testing. He is also an equine practitioner and owner of multiple horses.
